Biography of Martin Hamel:

1968 born 25 October 1968 in Rotterdam (the Netherlands)

1980 secundary school: Erasmiaans Gymnasium in Rotterdam

1987 language school St. Claires in Oxford (England)

1988 University of Delft: studies Architecture and Real Estate Management

1996 gets seriously ill and stops studies

1997 different jobs for a secretarial bureau

1998 runs his first marathon in Rotterdam

1998 warehouse-man at Kruidenier's Foodservice in Rotterdam

2000 foundation of Hamel Furniture Design

2001 starts painting on paper

2001 - 2003 courses at SKVR (Stichting Kunstzinnige Vorming Rotterdam) in Rotterdam:
